Greenfinch - Carduelis chloris
Formerly almost exclusively a farmland bird, the Sparrow sizes Greenfinch has adapted well to suburban life and is a regular and active visitor to the table or hanging feeder, enjoying both peanuts and sunflower seeds.
Often nests in evergreens, producing two or three broods, between April and August. Four to six white or pale blue eggs, spotted red-brown, are laid and incubated by the female in about fourteen days. Fledging follows after about two weeks.
